I joined up Oct. 2nd 1942 and took basic training at Galt, Ontario. In Nov. 1943, I took 40 W.T. Probies to the "Guild of All Arts" in Toronto for their training. I was their Regulator and S.B.A.
I had joined as a Sick Berth Attendant- however as soon as they found out I had not only taken a business course but had taught at a Business College I was mainly put in charge of hospital Records- which included Admitting and Discharging patients, typing all the Doctor's reports etc.
I didn't get the opportunity to work with patients as much as I would have liked.
June 1943, I was drafted to Halifax.
June 1944, I was drafted to Newfoundland. Aug.
1945, I was drafted back to Halifax, and was demobilized Oct. 1945.
